Jasmin Jackson is not your traditional therapist—and that’s intentional. As the founder of My Healing Hour, Jasmin has created a space that feels more like a soul reset than a clinical appointment. Grounded in her belief that healing happens in safe, culturally conscious environments, she offers therapy that honors the full self—mind, body, and spirit—and the lived experiences of those too often ignored in conventional mental health spaces.
With a Master’s degree in Psychology and years of experience as both a clinician and practice owner, Jasmin built My Healing Hour to challenge the status quo. Her approach is holistic, liberatory, and rooted in cultural responsiveness. Clients are met with warmth, deep listening, and a space where rest, resistance, and self-reclamation are all part of the work.
In addition to her work at MHH, Jasmin is the co-founder of Detangle Your Thoughts, a nonprofit dedicated to the mental and emotional wellness of the Black community, with a special focus on Black women. What began as a vision to support the matriarchs of our communities has evolved into an expansive movement—free group spaces where people can speak freely, be seen deeply, and heal collectively.

Jasmin’s work is rooted in mental health equity, cultural competence, and the belief that therapy should feel like a return to self, not a dissection of it. She is deeply committed to serving Black and Brown individuals, LGBTQIA+ folks, and anyone navigating systems of oppression while trying to heal.
My Healing Hour is more than therapy—it’s a radical reclaiming of space, peace, and voice.
